Long term care worker charged with stealing from patients

KAWARTHA LAKES-A long term care home worker has been charged with stealing from residents in her care.

Police say on November 22nd officers arrested a woman on the strength of a warrant for theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

It is alleged that the woman, who was previously a nurse employed by a long-term care facility in Lindsay, was stealing from residents in the home. 61-year-old Donna Jamandre of Mississauga will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 3, 2018.
