Vehicle goes into the lake during police chase near Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-A police chase on Friday night on Crowe’s Line Road near Bobcaygeon lead to a vehicle entering the water.

Peterborough County OPP told Kawartha 411 that an officer had a vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop when an approaching vehicle did a u-tun and went the other way when they saw police. That lead to a police chase. Officials confirmed a vehicle went into Pigeon Lake and one person had to be rescued.

Witnesses say a number of police were on hand, the suspect is ok and was taken into custody. Police have not confirmed that.
