KAWARTHA LAKES-Victoria Park in Lindsay is a mess. A huge tree has snapped under the pressure of the ice and there are fallen branches everywhere.
Many streets in Lindsay have tree branches down and the trees are buckling under the weight of the ice.
Police and emergency crews responded to a crash on Highway 35 and 7A with hydro lines knocked onto the road. Witnesses say no one was injured. Police are advising people to stay off the roads.
Hydro has been knocked out to hundreds of homes and businesses in the area.
