KAWARTHA LAKES-The Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP)has provided more than $7,000,000 in contributions to local businesses, organizations and individuals in the funding streams of Business Development and Community Innovation, to date. Now they are looking for the next group of businesses they can help.

The Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation (KLCFDC) has announced three workshops to assist businesses, groups and individuals with possible funding applications as well as to learn more about other products and services they have to offer. “We are now accepting applications for the Eastern Ontario Development Program for 2018” stated Andrew Wallen, General Manager of the KLCFDC. Through EODP, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario is collaborating with Community Futures Development Corporations in Eastern Ontario to promote the growth of new and existing businesses and to promote jobs, growth and prosperity in rural communities.”

The three workshops are scheduled starting Monday, February 5th in Fenelon Falls, followed by February 6th in Lindsay and February 8th in Woodville. All workshops will begin at 5:15pm. Anyone can attend and no reservations are required.

They will also be providing information on the Corporation’s other activities also being made available. “We also have our full business lending program, including BIP, our Business Improvement loans, which can be interest-free. We want the community to be aware of all that is available, and we hope to see lots of people attending and asking questions.” said Wallen.
