Gregory Livingstone appeared visibly upset when he entered the prisoners box. He was crying and rocking back and forth as a Duty Counsel lawyer consulted with him. Livingstone is charged with first degree murder in the death of his father John as well as a charge of arson.  His aunt and a couple of uncles as well as a friend were all in the courtroom.

The body of 75 year old John Livingstone was found by firefighters after they extinguished the fire on Saturday December 9th. John Livingstone was a fixture in the community and on Oak Street in Fenelon Falls. Read more here:https://www.kawartha411.ca/2017/12/11/friends-remember-fenelon-falls-man-killed-in-house-fire/
