Icy road conditions keep emergency crews busy

KAWARTHA LAKES-At least three crashes on Highway 115 near Tapley Line this morning kept emergency crews busy.

Kawartha Lakes Fire crews responded to a roll over in the southbound lanes at approximatley 11:30 this morning. Witnesses say the highway was very icy.  At least one person had to be extricated from this vehicle.

Drivers say a number of other vehicles were involved in crashes or slid into the ditch. The road was closed until about 3pm.

There’s no word on injuries.
