The City of Kawartha Lakes appoints new Director of Corporate Services

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Kawartha Lakes cottager has been appointed Director of Corporate Services for the City.

Jennifer Stover is currently the Director of Finance/Deputy Treasurer at the Town of East Gwillimbury. The City says she brings many years of municipal financial experience, in both a staff and consulting capacity to the position. To add to her experience, Stover is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.

“Jennifer will be an asset to our municipality with her strong financial background and understanding of the systems and processes we use. I look forward to welcoming her to our senior management team in early 2018,” commented Ron Taylor, Chief Administrative Officer. The Director of Corporate Services is responsible for four key areas at the City: Finance; Human Resources; Communications; and Information Technology.

Stover has family in Bobcaygeon and enjoys a recreational property in Trent Lakes. She says, “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new career challenge in Kawartha Lakes. My husband and I love our weekends in this area, and it’s exciting that we’re one step closer to living here.”

Stover’s official start date is January 8, 2018.
