KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police are looking for a thristy thief after pop machines were allegedly stolen from two locations in Lindsay over the last week.
Police were contacted after businesses on Queen Street, and Lindsay Street South reported that sometime overnight on October 28th, 2017 unknown persons had removed the machines from their property.
In one location the suspect(s) moved the security camera’s to avoid being caught on tape. The cameras were able to disclose that it appeared the machine was loaded onto a trailer. Police say one man wearing a camouflage hooded coat, with the hood up could also be observed on the tape. The pop machines weigh over 500 pounds when loaded with pop and could not be easily moved by one person according to police.
A Pondview St. Ops, Township resident called polcie on October 30th to say they had located two pop machines on their property. It was clear that the machines had been damaged in an effort to remove money and pop that had been contained in them.
