Domestic abuse caught on security camera in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 44-year-old Bexley Township man has been arrested and charged with Assault after a William Street buildings security camera’s captured an alleged domestic assault on tape.

Kawartha Lakes Police were provided with a copy of a buildings video surveillance on October 24th that police say showed a man and a woman involved in a domestic quarrel. The quarrel escalated to the point where the man kicks the woman and then pushes her to the ground.

The assault was observed to have taken place on October 14th, 2017. After reviewing the tape police were able to identify the man and woman involved.

The man was arrested on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 and was detained in custody. He has been charged with Assault, Failing to Comply with a Probation Order and Failing to Comply with a Recognizance to Keep the Peace.
