Local car dealership driving success of kids program in Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-Lindsay Pontiac Buick has been supporting the OPP KIDS (knowledge, issues, decisions and supports) program for ten years and today the OPP said Thank you!

The OPP KIDS program is delivered in area schools to grade 6 students by the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment Community Safety Officer. The program provides information to students on Youth and the Law, Peer to Peer Relationships, Social Media and Drug Awareness. Approximately 400 students per year participate in the program.

Police say Lindsay Buick GMC has supported the OPP in area schools for over 10 years. Recently they have sponsored the OPP KIDS program by providing t-shirts to each student that graduates the program.

“Thanks to Lindsay Buick GMC for continuing to partner with the OPP.” said the OPP
