Collision involving a cyclist just outside Bobcaygeon

UPDATE: 77 year old Douglas PARKER of Bobcaygeon has been charged with Fail to Leave One Metre While Passing Bicycle contrary to section 148(6.1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

KAWARTHA LAKES-There was a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle on County Road 8 just outside of Bobcaygoen Friday morning.

It happened just after 9:30 am.  A 51 year old female cyclist sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The involved driver and several witnesses remained on scene. The investigation is continuing.
