KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes Police have arrested and charged a Dunsford area man with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Trust after an investigation at the Central East Correctional Centre (CECC).
In early September of 2017 Police were alerted to the possibility that an employee of the CECC was involved in the trafficking of drugs within the institution. An investigation was commenced which resulted in the arrest of 57-year-old Stephen Benko of Dunsford. Police say Benko is a guard at the jail.
Benko will appear in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, October 26th, 2017.
