Three drivers in Kawartha Lakes facing alcohol related charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP arrested and charged three drivers with alcohol related driving offences over the last few days.

The first driver was located on September 8, 2017, at approximately 7:20 pm, after two members of the public allegedly called in traffic complaints. The vehicle was located in the Town of Lindsay and the driver, 41 year old Lynnda Bell was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Driving With More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood.

The second driver was arrested and charged on September 8, 2017 after an officer allegedly stopped a vehicle in Bobcaygeon to investigate a Highway Traffic Act infraction. Police say following an investigation, 27 year old John Peel of Bobcaygeon, was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Driving With More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood.

On September 12, 2017 just after midnight, officers say they were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check on Hwy 7A in Bethany. Following an investigation, 31 year old Robert Bumstead of Bethany was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Driving With More than 80 mgs of Alcohol.
