Fierce storm blows through Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-A fierce storm blew through Lindsay on Tuesday afternoon knocking down trees.

High winds and rain began just after 2pm. A tree was knocked down on Highway 35 just outside Lindsay, blocking one lane of traffic. Witnesses say the tree was hit by lightning.

Public works are on the scene.
