Mother and daughter have strange letters placed on their car on same day in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating after a mother and daughter both received a strange letter on their car on the same day.

According to police it happened on Saturday, July 29th. The mother was at a Kent Street West store to do some grocery shopping and when she came out to her car she allegedly found a note of admiration on her car with a telephone number attached to it.

The woman thought nothing of it until she was talking to her daughter later in the day and found the daughter had received the same note on her car while it was parked in the downtown area several hours after the mother had received her note.

A man described as late 30’s to early 40’s, short, slim build, short dark hair, scruffy facial hair, wearing jean shorts and a black t-shirt may be responsible for leaving the notes. A man matching this description was observed in the area of the daughter’s car shortly before she discovered the note, which appears to have been written by the same person as her mothers according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 705-324-5252.
