Young Forest Rangers take learning to a new level in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Sixty Stewardship Youth Forest Rangers will descend on Lindsay next week for three days of environmental and natural resource sciences workshops.

The rangers and their supervisory staff will be at Fleming’s Frost Campus from July 18-20th to learn about natural resource management – benefiting from both theory and hands-on knowledge – and will explore education and career options in this field. Fleming faculty and staff will be conducting workshops throughout the Rangers’ visit.

Events such as Knot Tying and Back Country Food Hanging, Tree Identification and Owl Pellet Hunt and Dissection will be held over the three days. There will also be a Hatchery Tour, team building activities and a session on Aquatics Inverts.
