Lock it or Lose it in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police are reminding area residents to take a few extra seconds and make sure that you have locked your vehicle.

Police say over the past week there has been an increase in reported thefts from unlocked vehicles. Most recently, on June 30th, 2017 a William Street South resident reported a wallet missing, which contained personal identifications and credit cards. The credit card was used a short time after being taken at an Angeline Street North business according to officers.

Thefts from unlocked vehicles are crimes of opportunity that can be prevented by locking your vehicle and not leaving personal items such as wallets, cell phones, GPS ‘s  and laptops in plain view in your vehicle. Lock it or Lose it!
