Charges laid in stabbing on Aylmer Street

PETERBOROUGH-A 52-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with aggravated assault following an incident at an Aylmer Street residence on Monday night.

Police say on at approximately 7 p.m. the accused and the victim, who know each other, became involved in an argument at a rooming house on Aylmer Street between McDonnel and London Streets. The victim was allegedly stabbed with a knife during the altercation.

The victim, a man in his 40’s, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury according to police. 

52-year-old Jeffrey Leon Dodds of Aylmer Street North, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault.
