Woman accused of stealing inheritance from siblings

PETERBOROUGH-A 36-year-old Peterborough woman is accused of ripping off her siblings after $60,000 in inheritance money went missing.

In March 2017 the Peterborough Police Service began an investigation after receiving information that the accused had taken money left in trust to her half-brother and her half-sister, who are both minors. She’s accused of transferring the money into her own bank account and spending the more than $60,000 in inheritance money that belonged to her half siblings.

The accused was arrested and charged on June 20th with two counts of theft over $5,000.
