Police say woman blew 5 times the legal limit after crash

A 31-year-old Peterborough woman is facing several charges after police say she blew 5 times the legal limit and crashed her vehicle.

Police say it happened shortly after 4 p.m. on May 31, 2017. According to police the vehicle, driven by the accused, struck a parked car in a parking lot on Chemong Road. The woman then left the scene and parked her vehicle elsewhere in the lot police say.

When the accused returned to her vehicle a short time later she was confronted by the owner of the vehicle she had struck. During the confrontation, it was reported that the accused, driving her vehicle, struck the complainant and hit another vehicle in the lot along with the shopping cart corral and then took off. The complainant was not injured.

Through the investigation, the accused was identified and located at a Peterborough residence where she was placed under arrest. She was then taken to the police station and provided a breath sample where she was found to have more than five times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. The accused refused to provide further breath samples.

31-year-old Natasha Maggie Davis of Neptune Street, Peterborough, is charged with the impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop at the scene of an accident and fail or refuse to provide a breath sample.
