Brechin man charged with shoplifting in Lindsay

A 58-year-old male was allegedly caught shoplifting at a Kent Street West business on June 10th.

Police say a store Loss Prevention Officer watched the accused conceal multiple items into his clothing, and switch barcodes between two items to make the desired item cheaper.

Richard Bittner of Brechin was charged with Fraud Under $5000, Theft Under $5000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

His will appear in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, July 13th, 2017.
