A 34-year-old Tweed man has been charged after police say he was found to have nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Police were called to a single vehicle collision at the corner of Monaghan Road and Crawford Drive in the City of Peterborough on April 30th at approximately 11 p.m.. The vehicle had allegedly left the roadway, driving over a curb before hitting a street sign.
While speaking with the male driver officers noted an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the man’s breath. Police say a breath test revealed the driver had nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
34 year old Peter Vance of Arthur Street, Tweed, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and operation a motor vehicle with more than 80 blood alcohol content. His vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence suspended.
