Peterborough CountyOPP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had been parked on the shoulder of the road on the Eleventh Line of Asphodel-Norwood Township, south of Highway 7 shortly before 9:30 Wednesday night.
Officers say the spoke with the driver of the vehicle and noted a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. An open bottle of alcohol was also allegedly located inside the suspect’s car. Breath tests allege the driver was nearly four times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood allowed in the Province of Ontario police say.
A 52 year old male, resident of Merrickville, ON was arrested and charged.
