Victim struck with a knife during incident in Peterborough

A 22-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges following an incident at a city residence on Monday night.

Police say at approximately 10 p.m. officers were called for an assault. It was reported that during a verbal dispute the accused brandished a knife and struck the victim with the weapon and then took off. The accused and the victim, a male in his late teens, know each other according to police.  

 22 year old Mohamad Duad Omar of Towerhill Road, Peterborough, is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a probation order.
