KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating a fatal riding lawn mower accident on Salem Road.
On July 25, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a riding lawn mower accident on Salem Road. Officers responded to the scene alongside Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service and Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service.
The operator of the riding lawn mower, a 69-year-old male from Little Britain, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Salem Road was closed for several hours while officers conducted their investigation and has since reopened.
There’s no word on what caused the accident.
