KAWARTHA LAKES-The Ontario Provincial Police have charged a member of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service in connection with an off-duty incident that occurred on July 1, 2026.
Police say n July 3, 2026, the member was charged with one count of assault and one count of uttering a threat.
The member is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 13, 2026.
“The member’s employment status has been reviewed, and appropriate administrative action has been taken. As this matter is currently before the courts, no further comment will be provided.” said police in a statement to the media.
