KAWARTHA LAKES-Here are the municipal hours of operation and service schedules for the City of Kawartha Lakes on Easter Weekend (Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5).
Administration OfficesÂ
All administration and Municipal Service Centres are closed during regular hours of operation on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday). Municipal Service Centres will return to regular business hours on Monday, April 6.
Waste Collection and LandfillsÂ
Landfills will be closed on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday). They will return to regular operating hours on Saturday, April 4. Since the holiday is on a Friday, there won’t be any changes to your collection day.
Organics Collection
If your household is included in the Organics Program, your regular organics pickup will be moving from Friday, April 3 to Saturday, April 4. To avoid any delays, please be sure to have your rollout cart to the curb by 7am.
Earth Week is coming up! Don’t forget to sign your group up for a 20-Minute Community Clean-Up. Registration closes on April 15, 2026, so be sure to sign your group up today online on the Diversion Programs and Events page or in person at any Municipal Service Centre.
Kawartha Lakes Public LibraryÂ
All Kawartha Lakes Library branches will be closed on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday), with regular operating hours returning on Saturday, April 4.
Lindsay TransitÂ
There will be no Lindsay Transit or LIMO Specialized Transit service on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday). Regular service will resume on Saturday, April 4.  
Parks and Recreation HoursÂ
All Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday). This includes the administrative office, all recreation centres, arenas and pools.
The weight room and fitness programming at the Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool, Bobcaygeon will resume regular hours on Saturday, April 4.
There will be no swimming lessons from Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5. All swimming lessons will resume Monday, April 6.
Parks and Recreation Easter Weekend EventsÂ
Join us for an Egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt in the pool! Hunt for Easter eggs and turn them in to lifeguarding staff to get a prize! This event will take place on Saturday April 4, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm at the Lindsay Recreation Complex located at 133 Adelaide Street South in Lindsay. Public swimming will also be available Sunday, April 5 at the Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool in Bobcaygeon. Jump In and connect youth with the Home Alone Program! Taking place on Monday, April 6 from 9am to 3pm at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, this program is designed to provide children ten years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. Public skating will be available at the Lindsay Recreation Complex from 12:15pm to 1:15pm on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. Pre-registration is required through our Online Program Registration website.
