PETERBOROUGH-Police say a 17-year-old male driver is facing a stunt driving charge after an incident Wednesday morning.
At approximately 10:15am on December 3, 2025, an officer on general patrol in the area of Water Street and Carnegie Avenue in Peterborough clocked a vehicle going 122km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.
The officer conducted a traffic stop, and the 17-year-old driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with:
- Stunt Driving
- Speeding
- Failure to surrender driver’s license
The driver was issued a 30-day license suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment and is scheduled to appear in court February 23, 2026.
