KAWARTHA LAKES-THE Fenelon Falls branch of Bank of Montreal at 39 Colborne Street is closing. In a letter to clients the bank say beginning at 5pm on June 19, 2026 the Fenelon Falls branch will be closed.
It is unclear how many jobs will be lost.
All bank accounts, loans and investments will automatically be moved to the Bobcaygeon Branch at 75 bolton Street. Account numbers and cheques will remain unchanged as will direct deposits and pre-authorized payments. Safety deposit boxes cannot be moved to the new location Clients are asked to visit the Fenelon Falls branch before May 15, 2026 to close it and open a new one.
The bank is holding an informal drop-in session on January 7, 2026 from 9:30-5pm at 39 Colborne Street in Fenelon Falls to review your banking needs and assist through the transition.
