KAWARTHA LAKES-A Norland woman was pickling beets and thinking about her mother who passed a year ago when the phone rang. It was Split the Pot Hospital Lottery, telling her she won the September consolation prize: $45,274.00!
“I couldn’t believe it when I first learned I won,” said Tammy G. “The phone rang, I was like, no… I had to call back. I didn’t believe it, but it was real!”
Tammy has been buying Split the Pot tickets and choosing to support RMH Foundation through proceeds from the ticket purchase to thank the team that cared for her mom.
“I picked your hospital because my mom passed away here and they were amazing to her. She was here a whole month and they did so much for her and that’s the reason we gave to the Ross.”
Tammy intends to buy a new car, pay bills and treat her grandchildren. She also intends to keep buying Split the Pot tickets.
