Lindsay Resident Charged After Man Found Assaulted In Driveway

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 34-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after a man was found unable to move in his driveway following an alleged assault on October 8.

Responding officers learned that shortly before their arrival an argument took place inside the home.  A guest exited the residence, and using a tool nearby, damaged an outbuilding and vehicle parked in the driveway belonging to a resident.  The 64-year-old victim attempted to stop the suspect and was physically assaulted resulting in injuries.  The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

A description was broadcast to responding units who located the accused nearby and placed him under arrest.  The victim was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 34-year-old male from Lindsay, ON was charged with:

  • Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  • Mischief x 2

He was held in custody and brought before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay for a show cause bail hearing.
