UPDATE: Initially the OPP said the school was place on lockdown but later corrected that to say it had been placesdon a hold and secure.
KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP placed Fenelon Falls Secondary School in a hold and secure today.
Police say it was due to an external matter that was dealt with. Officers responded quickly and the school was locked down for just under 15 minutes before 10am.
Safety to the school staff and students was a priority as well as communication according to police.
No injuries were reported and the situation did not have a threat to the public.
“Thank you to those who called in about the suspicious behaviour.” said Police
No word on any charges.
