Lindsay Man Facing Weapons And Bail Violations Charges After Store Owner Called Police

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 41-year-old Lindsay man is facing weapons charges after store owner called police.

On Saturday September 13, 2025, the Kawartha Lakes Police were called to attend a Kent Street West business in Lindsay, ON for a report of a known shoplifter inside the store which the owner’s requested to be removed and trespassed from the premises.

Police say officers arrived and located the male who was found to have active warrants for his arrest for failing to attend court.  He taken into custody, and a search incident to arrest revealed that he was in possession of a replica handgun and other stolen property according to police.

As a resutl the 41-year-old Lindsay man was charged with:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Carry Concealed Prohibitied Device or Ammunition

He was held in custody by police for a bail hearing and later released with a future court date.
