Fall 2025 Routine Watermain Flushing In CKL Drinking Water Systems Begins September 15

KAWARTHA LAKES-Routine fall watermain flushing for 2025 will begin in the Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls drinking water systems on September 15, 2025.

Flushing dates for all other systems have been finalized and will be completed as per the following schedule:

Norland DWS – September 15 to September 26

Kinmount DWS – September 15 to September 26

Victoria Place DWS – September 16

Western Trent/Palmina DWS – September 17

Omemee DWS – September 17

Southview Estates DWS – September 17

Manorview DWS – September 18

Woodfield DWS – September 18

Birch Point DWS – September 23

King’s Bay DWS – October 2

Mariposa Estates DWS – October 7

Pleasant Point DWS – October 7

Pinewood DWS – October 9

Woodville DWS – October 13-17

Manilla (Woods of Manilla) DWS – October 14

Canadiana Shores DWS – October 14

Janetville DWS – October 15

Sonya DWS – October 15

The flushing of watermains is necessary to remove sediment that gradually deposits in the pipes. There may be brief periods of time when your water becomes cloudy or discoloured; please note that this is not harmful. Simply let your cold water tap run until the water runs clear. Please check your drinking, cooking and laundry water before using.

In addition to temporary discolouration, pressure fluctuations during the flushing process may be experienced. These fluctuations will stop once flushing is completed.
