ONTARIO-When Shirley K. of Sault Ste Marie walked into Paquette’s Confectionery and bought a Split the Pot ticket, in support of Sault Area Hospital Foundation, at the checkout, she didn’t know that she was about to change her life with a prize of almost $300,000 and make history at the same time.
Split the Pot is a monthly lottery that supports 82 hospital and healthcare foundations across the province, raising over $17+ million since its inception. This spring, Split the Pot launched in 63 convenience stores across Ontario, and has since expanded to 72 stores across Northern Ontario, giving even more ways to access tickets. Split the Pot has partnered with local hospital 50/50 draws, giving communities two ways to play and two ways to win, while supporting their local hospital and healthcare foundations.
Shirley is the first convenience store purchaser to win the Split the Pot Grand Prize.
“I decided to support SPLIT THE POT Ontario because it’s a meaningful way to support our local hospital or hospitals across Ontario. The funds raised help purchase vital equipment that can make a difference in patient care (yours and mine). It feels good knowing that my participation contributes to something so important. Thank you for the opportunity to make a difference.” – Shirley K., Split the Pot winner.
Shirley supported the Sault Area Hospital Foundation with her ticket, helping to strengthen healthcare right in her community.
Congratulations to Shirley on her big win!
