Driver Of Golf Cart Charged With Impaired

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP have charged the driver of a golf cart with impaired driving.

On Sunday August 31, 2025 at approximately 01:51 am, officers were notified of a collision in a trailer park on Tracey’s Hill Road where the driver was believed to be impaired. The reported collision took place with a golf cart which collided into a shed according to police. A golf cart is a conveyance and carries the same impaired driving charges under the Criminal Code as other conveyances such as motor vehicles (cars, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles), vessels (boats, canoes), aircraft, which are just some examples. The driver was arrested and charged with Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences.

Justin Ramdihal, 20-year-old of Georgina, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drug
  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the conveyance was impounded for 7 days.
