KAWARTHA LAKES-A 30-year-old man is facing charges after a disturbance downtown Lindsay.
On July 21, 2025 police responded to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay for a report of a male in front of the business yelling and slashing at the air with a knife. Officers arrived on scene and located the male who was taken into custody without incident. Officers searched the immediate area of the arrest and say a box cutter style knife was seized.
As a result of the investigation a 30-year-old male from Lindsay was charged with:
ï‚· Causing a disturbance
ï‚· Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
ï‚· Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
