KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is warning residents about a text message scam circulating in our area.
Scammers are posing as government agencies to trick you into clicking on malicious links including fake speeding tickets from Service Ontario.
Protect yourself by following these steps:
Delete the message immediately.
Report it as junk.
Do NOT click on any links in the text.
