NORTHUMBERLAND-The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with prohibited driving following traffic enforcement in Trent Hills.
Police say on July 8, 2025, shortly before 11:00 a.m., officers were conducting speed enforcement on County Road 45 in the Municipality of Trent Hills when they observed a passenger vehicle travelling at 124 Km/h in a posted 80 Km/h limit.
The vehicle was stopped and through enquiries, the driver was also found to be suspended from driving according to police.
As a result, 59-year-old Andrew Starr from Roseneath, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Driving while under suspension
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Drive motor vehicle – no licence
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Speeding
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Fail to have insurance card
In addition to a future court date, the accused had their vehicle impounded for 45 days.
