KAWARTHA LAKES-Coming hot off a successful run at the Factory Theatre in Toronto, Paul Bates’ Hookup is headed to cottage country. Globus Theatre in Bobcaygeon is set to show this hilarious improv show all about modern dating from July 10th to 12th 2025.
“Hilarious” Improv Show Coming To Globus Theatre In Bobcaygeon
Hookup takes the quirks, passions, and deal-breakers of random audience members and spins them into a completely unscripted romantic comedy. From awkward first encounters, to fiery breakups and unexpected reunions, you never quite know what you’re going to get—but you can be darn sure it’ll make you laugh.
Located in Beautiful Bobcaygeon, right in the heart of the stunning Kawartha Lakes, Globus Theatre has been producing professional theatre for 22 years. They welcome a range of new and Canadian shows, attracting the very best talent and audiences from across the country. They are thrilled to have Hookup as part of their 2025 season.
“Hookup is funny, silly, sometimes crazy, but ultimately about human connection and love. We can’t wait to explore these universal themes in Bobcaygeon and to bring your stories to life on stage.” – Paul Bates, Creator
Creator and star Paul Bates is a Canadian comedy veteran having appeared in many television shows (CTV’s Dan For Mayor and CBS’s Kim’s Convenience and Baroness Von Sketch Show), writing specials for the likes of William Shatner and Micheal Short, and for directing award-winning stage comedies.
