KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is investigating a possible impersonation of a Peace Officer.
Police say an incident that began on Highway 35 and continued onto County Road 36 involving a white SUV believed to be equipped with red and blue lights on the roof using them to pass other vehicles and a push bar on the front.
In Ontario, it is illegal under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) to have red and blue lights on a non-emergency vehicle and impersonating a peace officer is a serious criminal offence.
