BANCROFT-The Bancroft OPP has charged one person following an altercation.
On June 4, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in Hastings Highlands. One person was arrested a short time later at a traffic stop.
Mike Howarth, a 33-year-old from Bancroft, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Break and enter
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Assault with a weapon
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Uttering Threats
The accused was released from custody with and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.
