KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay teen is facing charges after police received a call about erratic driving.
On June 1st 2025 at 12:49am officers responded to a traffic complaint on Mary Street West in Lindsay after reports an SUV cut off another vehicle narrowly avoiding a collision before mounting the curb. Officers responded and quickly located the vehicle parked on the roadway in the area of the complaint.
Police say a traffic stop was conducted and as a result of the investigation the male was placed under arrest and was returned to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service. The accused provided samples of his breath to a qualified breath technician which were found to be over two times the legal limit according to police.
A 18-year-old male from Lindsay was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
The vehicle the accused was operating was impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
He was released from custody with a future court date.
