KAWARTHA LAKES-A Fenelon Township man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Lindsay.
On March 24, 2025, at 8:26pm police were on general patrol in the area of Lindsay Street South and Kent Street West when they allegedly observed a vehicle with rear end damage, delay proceeding into the intersection after a light change and failing to signal a turn once it did.
A traffic stop was conducted and police say the owner of the vehicle was under suspension having been charged with Failing to Provide a Breath Sample one month prior.
Police say the driver refused to provide a breath sample into an approved screening device and was subsequently arrested and returned to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service.
A 37-year-old Fenelon Township man was charged with:
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
• Drive While Under Suspension
• Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
• Fail to Signal for Turn
The accused vehicle was impounded, and his driver’s licence was further suspended for 90 days. He was released with a future court date.
