NORTHUMBERLAND-The Northumberland OPP has charged a driver with impaired operation following traffic enforcement.
On March 20, 2025, at around 3:15 a.m., police were on County Road 2 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand when they observed a passenger vehicle travelling at 122 Km/h in a posted 70 Km/h limit according to police.
Officers say the driver fled from police and the vehicle and was soon located at a nearby residence. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand was made for a sample of breath and with the result of ‘FAIL’, the individual was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment for further tests according to police.
As a result, 31-year-old Brandon Hrazdira from Whitby, has been charged with:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Flight from peace officer
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Fail to notify change of address – licence.
In addition to a future court date, the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
