KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a complaint of an impaired driver in the area of Willow Glen Drive and Angeline Street North on March 12, 2025 at 5:54pm.
A vehicle description was obtained and a responding officer quickly located the vehicle in the area of Orchard Park Road and Rogers Road. The investigation revealed that the male driver was currently under suspension. Police say he was placed under arrest and returned to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service where he provided breath samples showing twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
A 66-year-old Lindsay man was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drug
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
- Driving While Under Suspension
He was released with a future court date.
