KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving information about a vehicle that entered a ditch.
On Thursday March 06, 2025 at approximately 11:21 pm officers responded to reports regarding a motor vehicle that entered a ditch and required a tow truck on White Rock Road in Mariposa Township. The driver was arrested and charged.
28-year-old Wayde Beckett of Mariposa Township, was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days
