KAWARTHA LAKES-A police raid in Lindsay resulted in the seizure of more than $20,000 in illicit drugs and charges for five people.
On February 28th 2025, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant at a Lindsay residence.
As a result of the investigation five individuals were arrested and the following seized:
- Cocaine 167.31 grams
- Fentanyl 7.74 grams
- Crack Cocaine 10.92 grams
- Canadian Currency ($6530)
The approximate street value of the seized drugs was $20,300.
A 27-year-old Lindsay woman has been charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance
Two 16-year-old males and a 17-year-old male from Durham Region have been charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
42-year-old Amanda Nicholson from Lindsay has been charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking – Cocaine
All accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent St West in Lindsay.
