Police Investigating After 71-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck In Bancroft

BANCROFT-The Bancroft OPP is continuing to investigate a collision involving a pedestrian on Madawaska Street in the town of Bancroft.

On Friday, February 21, 2025, shortly after 5:00 p.m., a collision occurred involved a vehicle and a 71 year old female pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries according to police.

Bancroft OPP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.

The OPP wants to remind both pedestrians and motorists to stay vigilant while walking or driving in high traffic areas. This is especially important during times of reduced visibility such as inclement weather or sunset and sunrise.
