Weather Advisory In Effect For Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Winter Weather Travel Advisory is in effect for Kawartha Lakes.

Environment Canada says Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes could see up to 15 cm of snow while Lindsay-Southern Kawartha Lakes could see up to 5cm with reduced visibility in heavy snow.

Lake effect snow off Georgian Bay will continue to extend inland into the area at times today. Areas in west Haliburton County will be most affected.

Snowfall amounts are expected to be significantly less for areas toward County Road 45. The lake effect snow will shift south of the area through the afternoon. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
